Brief synopsis of the movie: Captain Colter Stevens has been plugged into Source Code, a time-loop program that allows him to take over someone’s body in a re-enactment of their last eight minutes of life.
We may think we know who we are, where we live, and what our history is. But we don’t. We are asleep and dreaming. We think we are one of the dream characters; we have forgotten the divinity of who we are. Certain characters and situations show up repeatedly in our life, not unlike the train scenarios. For Colter, it’s an eight-minute slice of time on a ride into Chicago, where the train blows up.
This is a dream world where we are a make-believe dream character that God did not create and does not know about. We are lost, wandering in time and space, trying to make the best of it. We do not know what the meaning of life is because if we did, this world would disappear; we would be back home in Heaven. Since we do not know the meaning of life, we are confused. We try to keep our head above water, we try to make it through the day, but really we do not know what is happening.
Colter is going through a series of experiences that are going to dislodge his mind from everything he thinks he knows. This is how the spiritual awakening journey goes. As we go deeper down the rabbit hole, everything we thought we knew disappears.
The more insights and mystical experiences we have, the more everything keeps shifting. Things keep falling away because the lesson, the purpose, underneath this whole dream, is forgiveness. We must empty our mind of everything we think we think, and think we know about our identity so that our real Identity can be revealed to us by Spirit.
