Things Aren’t as They Appear to Be
“The ego has structured everything in terms of linear time to give you a sense that this world is reality. That’s what it’s banking on. Why would you even question this world if you didn’t start to have symbols that this world isn’t what it seems to be?”

MWGE Movie Review Excerpt
A symbol for a potential far greater than what we currently experience, the Nines are those who have unlimited power and can create worlds with a single thought. The main character really believes that he is a man inside a real world. He has forgotten that it is all a computer simulation; he is playing characters that he himself designed. Through multiple lives he comes to learn to see the patterns that are holding him back. Specialness is the key defense; Spirit must “get him away from her.” She is like a drug, as are his family and friends. In order to cover up his drug of choice, he hides himself in addictions, a rebel attitude, and his work. Finally, he learns the difference between what is true and what is false. His world begins to unravel and the truth is revealed. Enjoy this movie, especially the final decision.
Play Before Movie
Whenever the question comes up, “How did we get here?” you rarely hear, “You made it up.” Yet that’s what Jesus says in the Course. If there was a constant awareness that you made it all up, you could have a good laugh. But when you think it’s happening to you, it can seem difficult and stressful. When you forget that you made up the world, the temptation is to play victim; victim of the weather, victim of the diseases, victim of other people. That’s the consequence of forgetting, “You made it up.”
Play After Movie
This is a great movie to give you a feel for where the spiritual journey is heading. It’s OK to let go. You won’t die if you let go of control, you actually live. You won’t struggle with survival if you let go. You’ll laugh at the very idea of survival. It was all about survival of the body. Who’s concerned about survival of the Spirit? The Spirit just is. This movie is a wonderful reminder that it’s safe to let go. Your life doesn’t fall apart when you let go. Your mind integrates. Your mind recognizes itself. It becomes whole again, as it always is and has been and will be forever.
Symbols of Transcendence Keep Showing Up Until We Awaken to Truth
God would not give us the means of awakening without the assurance that the plan would succeed. We don’t have to save the whales, or the forests or the planet. No rituals or holy relics are needed; it’s not about spiritualizing matter.
The Cathars, a gnostic group from 1160, actually knew all these things. They taught the same principles that we speak of in ACIM. These symbols of transcendence keep repeating until we finally awaken to Truth. “Salvation” is the awakening of the sleeping mind.

The “Make it Obvious” Prayer Offers Clear Signs & Symbols
Along the spiritual path, I’ve had one specific prayer in my heart. It has always been, “Make it obvious.” I did not start off hearing my inner voice loud and clear, and I did not start off letting the voice speak through me. That was a frightening thing!
First, I merged with the teachings of A Course in Miracles. Then after a few years, the voice became very distinct in my mind. This made my life very easy: “Go here. Do this. Turn left. You forgot your keys.” It’s very practical. If I did not understand something, I’d get more and more examples. I cannot tell you how that sped everything up, to get that ongoing commentary on everything. It was very friendly, humorous, kind, and playful. That’s where everything lightened up. I could not take the world so seriously anymore. I’ve continued to use the prayer, “Make it obvious,” and I have to say how very grateful I am for the signs and symbols that were given me along the way. ~ David Hoffmeister
