Express It!!!
“In our communities we encourage expression of our unconscious patterns and thoughts. Rather than fear and repress dark thoughts, we hold the space of love and acceptance for them. In this spacious place of non-judgment, the burden is lifted and healing takes place through the Holy Spirit.“

Your MWGE Guide
MWGE Movie Review Excerpt
This is a brilliantly crafted film that takes a clear look at the dynamics of the ego and masterfully delivers the metaphysics of “A Course in Miracles”—that only love is real and sin is not. Daniel is a dispirited world-renowned conductor. His heart is calling for a different way, although he doesn’t immediately know what that is. He only knows he cannot continue as he has been; something needs to change.
He is invited to lead the local church choir, which he initially resists. Past wounds, old thoughts, patterns of control, the belief in sin and guilt arise for everyone involved. Everything must be brought to the light of day for the healing to begin. The singers learn that they cannot sing if anyone present is holding onto a grievance or a hidden thought.
MWGE Excerpt: When the mind is identified with the ego, and lost in the ego’s purpose for the body, it becomes obsessed with seeking pleasure. Hiding and protecting addictions block all chance of help and healing. When the decision is made to stop playing games and hiding from oneself, real healing can begin. Relationships can then be formed based on the shared purpose of healing through openness and honesty.
Emotions/Themes: No Private Thoughts, Wake-Up Call, Jealousy, Deception, Secrets, Family
MWGE Excerpt: The Rizzo family has a closet full of secrets. It is impossible to see our brother as he really is while we hold secrets and private thoughts in our mind. As the lid lifts on the hidden thoughts, the healing can begin. The Spirit always answers our call for love with love, and the chaos we perceive in the world is, without exception, an out-picturing of our inward condition
Emotions/Themes: Jealousy, Perfectionism, Abandonment, Family, Marriage, Fear, Superiority, Opening Up to Love, False Perception, Letting Go of Control
MWGE Excerpt: To the family, Everett’s partner Meredith seems difficult and uptight, and they don’t understand why Everett is with her. They have no idea that her deep call for love and acceptance is his own. Only in laying aside judgment and bringing the stranger in can they open up to receiving the gift that Meredith brings.

Using Expression Sessions to Practice Being Present and Holding the High Note
We have regular practice of expression sessions. In fact, for years now when we have had lunches, we used the lunches for expression sessions. People will get their food and they will bring it to a table, usually a large or a big round table. There is a spaciousness there, as people are eating, for whoever has something bubbling to the surface that really needs to talk about it.
The purpose of these expression sessions is more the attitude of complete non-judgment. It is for everyone to practice being present and letting these thoughts come up and holding the light or holding the high note, which is what you need to allow these emotions to come and pass through.
