The crucifixion scene brought up some anger, disgust, and judgment for me. I had thoughts like “how could people torture a fellow brother like that?” and “gosh, the way they treated each other was so inhumane and barbaric. I would never treat another brother like that.” But I had to keep reminding to see more deeply beneath the surface. Even though it seemed like Jesus was suffering in the crucifixion scene, he teaches in ACIM that he was not suffering because he knew he was not a body, and he was not identified with guilt. He was so joined with the Holy Spirit that he did not suffer. Geessh that feels like a big one for me to internalize!
