Your Guide to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
MWGE Movie Review
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a spectacular movie about memory deletion, surrender and forgiveness. Love transcends all of the perceptual memories though the ego believes the memories are the love. The light that shines beyond all perceptual memories is blazing with eternal love in a spotless, divine mind. Beyond the temptation to judge and blame is a love so deep and pure that the sleeping mind will rush to love and abandon all images and trinkets the instant that love is remembered in waking.
The past repeats, over and over, with private thoughts of unworthiness and doubt, until a change in purpose in the mind is grasped. Memories of the past are deleted by the Holy Spirit as they are offered willingly and nothing is deleted without this willingness. Once the process is allowed with permission, only the attempt to hide some memories in the belief that they are still valuable delays the clearing. In the end, there is a surrender to the divine eraser of past associations and meaningless private thoughts and only a recognition of seeing the Christ anew remains present. Staying present, all relationships reflect the innocence and purity that transcends the lies of the ego. Freed from specialness, the holy relationship emerges as a testimony to the glory of God and true love. Enjoy this Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind review.
Play Before Movie
This is one of those movies that, if you just give your mind over to it, the Holy Spirit can really show you what the real meaning of forgiveness is. In the face of the attack thoughts that arise, you have a deeper purpose that is so strong, you can watch the attack thoughts rise without taking them seriously, even though you may be tempted to take them personally or think that somebody is actually doing something. At the end of this movie, the main characters are going to get a real strong opportunity to not give into the temptation to attack and defend. It is really a spectacular forgiveness movie.

Read After Movie
Clementine’s words are profound. She said, “I’m not a concept.” She is just a girl looking for peace of mind. You can think about that in terms of your own mind. That is all you are looking for, peace of mind, and you are not a concept. You are not male, you are not female, you are not masculine or feminine, you are not Irish or English or African; you are not any of the concepts that the ego has invented.
As you willingly offer up these concepts to the Holy Spirit, they get deleted and it is as if they never were. It is very much like Buddhism and all the great spiritualities that talk about, “empty your mind of everything you think you think and think you are.” That is really what this whole journey is about. You seem to be a human being moving through time and space with goals and objectives but really the mind is being drawn back into the light and all these concepts are being raised up into awareness and deleted. YouTube: Forgiveness and Romantic Relationships
The ego made up this kind of romance where bodies fall in love and live happily ever after, but you never see the happily ever after. In the end, forgiving the ego in your mind and seeing a forgiven world is the only way to have a happy dream. Your only responsibility is to see the world and your brothers without judgment. From there, God will take the final step to eternal happiness.
How many times has David Hoffmeister watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? He quit counting long ago because every time he shares a classic metaphysical movie with others it’s brand new. “How can you not get joyful and excited about such a beautiful teaching device and sharing that teaching device with your loved ones, with your beloveds? That’s the joy of it. It is in the sharing of it,” says David.
