Relationships
Day 11

Movie Pick of the Week
Looking back after the healing has been offered is a delay mechanism of the ego. Remember that in the Bible, when Lot’s wife looked back, she was turned into a pillar of salt! Not pleasant! The Spirit wants us to use all our relationships for a very deep purpose, and sometimes that means letting them go. Like a sprouted seed moving through the soil towards the light of the sun, let everything you seem to be pushing through fall away … and then bloom.
It’s Complicated

Duration: 120 minutes
Country: USA
Director: Nancy Meyers
Actors: Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin
Summary:
The Spirit has to find a way to gradually unwind the mind from its fixed self-concept and limiting “comfort zones.” The Spirit’s Purpose for relationships is letting go of the past, which is the opposite of the ego’s purpose. All relationships are maximal, and when they seem to end, it is because they have served their purpose. Holding on to relationships and/or attempting to recreate the past maintains egoic mind patterns, rather than releasing them. Happiness and true innocence cannot be found in special love relationships. Happiness is not in the past; the past is over. It is time to let go.
