Living Under Christ Control
“At one point when the scribe of the Course, Helen Schucman, was pretty high in resistance, Jesus told her, ‘A good scribe must be under Christ control.’ Interesting use of the word control. In that sense it is actually meaning alignment. Like total receptivity, willingness. Very different from the way the word is usually used in this world.“

MWGE Movie Review Excerpt
This is the compelling story of Francis of Assisi in the early days of his calling. In answering his own call for God, Francis ignites the spark in the hearts of those around him. Soon he is joined by a band of brothers and Sister Clare, who also seek for truth and a simple life of trust in divine providence and service to God.
Like all mystics, Francis faces the darkness within his own mind and traverses the landscape of doubt and guilt in his search for God. This movie is deeply moving in its depiction of a life lived in full humility, with great trust and deep gratitude. Love is never far behind a grateful heart and a thankful mind.
MWGE Excerpt: Only an open mind in a state of true humility can receive revelation from God. Jesus taught that you have to be like a little child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The scholarly “I know mind” is not only unnecessary to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, it bars the way. The presence of God abides where It is welcome, where there is a complete lack of judgment. When the final vestiges of self-doubt are washed from the mind, the world is transcended.
MWGE Excerpt: This is a touching movie about the power of prayer and faith in God. Mack grew up in a family where his father was very violent. A grievance remains in his mind about his childhood. As a young adult, Mack seems to be happily married with three children. Then everything turns when his youngest daughter goes missing. This movie reminds us that of ourselves we don’t know how or when the healing will occur. But once our prayer is genuine, healing is inevitable.

MWGE Excerpt: To remember God is to follow His guidance and instructions, even if this seems to dismantle the plans and ambitions of an imposter identity. Preoccupations with the body and appearances, with career and image, must be washed away. What better way is there than a deluge of instructions and symbols of support to prepare for the flood of God’s love? Without following the instructions given, harmony, union, and love remain blocked from awareness.
