Best spiritual movies – David Hoffmeister: Say Yes to Love
The movie Waking Life has a scene at the end with a deep message about time. The main character, Richard Linkletter, says that God is always asking us, “Are you ready to know who you are? Are you ready to be one with me, to be one with the Universe, to be one Self?” Say Yes to Love.
Each tick of the little hand on the clock, the sleeping mind says, “No… no… no… no… no… no… no…” That is what time is. Time is a sequence of no’s to all of life. Jesus tells us in A Course in Miracles that history would not exist if we did not continue to make the same mistake in the present.
When we say, “Yes… no… yes… no…” our mind is still fragmented. It is split. And then Awakening is one unequivocal yes. It’s a final yes. Desiring I AM-ness, light, and Love—fully. It is the end of time.
Only the vision of Christ is single. There is not a human perception that is single. By definition it is fragmented. It is seeing pieces; it is seeing all the different parts of the tapestry. Jesus tells us that Awakening is simply, “Let thine eye be single.”
