Forget New Year! Transcend Time and Space; A Spiritual Awakening Experience with the Movie “X-Men: Days of Future Past” ~ David Hoffmeister

~ A Spiritual Awakening Experience with the Movies ~

The Quantum movie X-Men: Days of Future Past illustrates a spiritual journey that involves going back in time. The Purpose of the journey is to find the core grievance and let it be healed. When the grievance is healed in Forgiveness, all future scenarios of conflict and destruction are also healed. It is not that they have been prevented in time; it is that we have come to the realization that there was no time in which they could have existed. In the Happy Dream, everything is resolved. It becomes harmonious and then disappears.

Spiritual Awakening Experience XMenWolverine is the agent strong enough to go back through time and ignite the mission of forgiveness. We can think of ourselves this way as well. We can imagine that our future self, or our higher Self, is orchestrating this whole thing for our awakening. We are just perceiving it in time, where we perceive ourselves to be. There is great love and compassion coming from the higher Self, the future self.

The mutants start with a great premise: End this war before it ever begins. We can adjust the words to say: End this world before it ever begins. Jesus awoke and said, “Before Abraham was, I Am.” T-3.III.6 This is what A Course in Miracles is about: Ending this world before it ever begins. Going back to the I Am-ness before the world was.

We have been tricked into believing that the present moment is in between the past and the future. When we went to history class, the teacher drew a timeline and the dot in the middle was now, in between the past and the future. But what if the past and the future are the same? And what if now is not wedged in between them? What if we have been tricked about the present moment? What if the present moment is before time was?

We read The Power of Now and struggled to be in the now, but maybe the now is not where we thought it was. Maybe it is somewhere completely different. This is deep! What if we can end the war by seeing it never began? What if we can end the world and the cosmos by seeing that they never existed? What if we could recognize that we are actually an eternal creation and that we have never been bound by time or space or form? We have had amnesia. We have forgotten the I Am-ness, which is all that is and all that will be. We got caught up in what seems to be a world in which there is a power that controls us.

This movie is saying we have to go so deep that we transcend time and space; we have to Forgive the belief that they could ever have happened. This Forgiveness renders even the thought of a core grievance impossible. Innocence remains as the only Reality and we see that control was never an option.
