Jealousy in relationship ~ undoing the belief in separation.
Ego thinking upholds belief in separation by seeing victimization, competition, bodies, and all that comprises the self concept as real. You identify with the body self, the hero of the dream, and believe that you (subject) have a separate, private mind.
You believe that each other person (object) also has a separate mind and can cause things to happen to you. This is spurious (false) since cause is only in your mind. David Hoffmeister Movie Watcher’s Guide to Enlightenment
Movie: Black Swan
Black Swan is a movie about moving through unworthiness and self-hatred, moving from darkness to light. It is about embracing all parts of our self and going all the way. The movie looks at what ACIM refers to as "the face of innocence" and seeing what is underneath it: attack. And it is about accepting it and not denying it in order to reach the light. Black Swan encourages the need to look within at the full extent of the self-hatred and to see the innocence of it. We cannot keep hiding behind a mask. We have to look at it.
The Other Boleyn Girl
This movie is a classic mind watcher for jealousy.
The Family Stone
The Stone family and their partners gather for Christmas and experience a profound undoing of pride and an opening of the heart.
To the family, Everett's partner Meredith seems difficult and uptight, and they don't understand why Everett is with her. They have no idea that her deep call for love and acceptance is his own. Only in laying aside judgment and “bringing the stranger in” can they open up to receiving the gift that Meredith offers. Through a series of incidents where it seems that everything is going wrong, a deep healing occurs. When the pressure of trying to be perfect finally cracks, what is underneath is allowed up for healing, and our natural light can finally shine through.
The Spirit is in charge of a truly miraculous plan for our happiness, and when we let go of control and allow the plan to be revealed, we can enjoy the ride.
Love is recognized only through non-judgment and complete acceptance. Who we are is already perfect.
