What Is Quantum Forgiveness? David Hoffmeister on the Movie Watcher's Guide to Enlightenment

Movie Watcher's Guide to Enlightenment, David Hoffmeister: I was raised in Christianity, which has an association with wrong-doing, with some sense of wrongness. But I’ve found that when we open up and start to come into an experience of deep peace and innocence—even when it’s just a glimpse—we get a strong awareness of never having done anything wrong. Our perception shifts in a way that allows us to see peace. We do not have to work it out—it is like a state of grace. That grace has always been our nature; all we need to do is accept it. Once we do, we see that there never was a problem. God created us perfect; we have always been perfect in our Source. We want to go beyond the perspective of believing that there is a God out there somewhere. We want to see that our home is in our heart and that we have never left it.

Movie Buck Quantum ForgivenessIn his movie The Horse Whisperer, Robert Redford helps a traumatized girl go through a healing experience with her horse. I saw a documentary about the man who was the consultant for that movie. His name was Buck, and he had transcended a traumatic childhood; he chose not to see himself as a victim. He showed his integrity, calmness, gentleness, and compassion in day-to-day living with people and horses. Buck has the ability to ride a horse almost as if he were in the quantum field. The horse flows so beautifully as an extension of his love. Buck is a beautiful witness of deep humility and simplicity. I love movies that show grace in motion, where the innocence is tangible. I am so grateful that we, like Buck, can choose the miracle.

I like to think of miracles as being very natural. I call them ordinary miracles. We do not need to be given extreme signs and symbols. We just need to experience the comforting, peaceful, still awareness that is always in us. It is Who we are. I like the idea that we are the living representations of love and light and joy. That is the burning fire in my heart. That is why I have traveled around the world so extensively, and why I am so comfortable being with my brothers and sisters wherever I go, regardless of what they profess to believe or not believe. I feel a deep connection to them that seems so natural. It is our Purpose to be in that experience and extend it. That is what I feel our lives are meant for. My life has been fully used to extend the Presence of Love.

True Love wants to come through in ways that people can relate to. People are not really interested in a lot of theory and theology; they want the experience. They want signs and symbols that are as simple as shaking hands, or hugging, or embracing, or just softly gazing into another’s eyes. Although these gentle expressions come through what seems to be our human nature, it is really our divinity shining out.

Quantum physics shows us that everything we perceive is really just our state of mind. The body, with which we closely identify, acts as a barometer. It mirrors our state of mind in a very direct way. Whenever there seems to be discomfort or disease, we can see that as a gift which is signaling that we are having discomforting thoughts. We can go within, release those thoughts, and discover that we have no real reason to be ill. We are innocent; our natural inheritance is happiness, peace, and joy. So we can thank the body for being such a clear witness to our state of mind. In a biofeedback sense, it is helpful in coming to a state of True Quantum Forgiveness because we can be very honest with ourselves about how we feel. We do not have to stick with the idea that there is some external cause. We can start to take full responsibility for our state of mind.
