The Movie Watcher’s Guide to Enlightenment (mwge) was first created as a book by David Hoffmeister in 2013. Since then it has been re-edited, published as an e-book and this website was created to allow more movie reviews and interaction.

In a radical departure from traditional spiritual cinema David Hoffmeister embraces Hollywood movies as modern day parables for awakening, thus turning the universal pastime of movie watching into a portal for a whole new perspective on Life.
